Well . . . we did it. Got the cops involved. Jeremy's in California for Spring Break, and I'm still in Harrisonburg. Carl and Bryan (from Albuquerque) came over to play a little music. We were jamming around in our foam-padded practice room, and apparently one of the neighbors got annoyed and called the cops at 9:30 p.m.

9:30. Who goes to bed at 9:30?

Anyways, like good law-abiding citizens we stopped playing, and now I'm just getting ready for another fun day of work at a grocery store tomorrow. 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

But here's some news: Shapiro is playing Soundfest on April 1st @ Virginia Tech with Mae, Lovedrug, and Matt Pond PA. Schweet.

Next week @ Starr Hill, too, with Mutemath . . . I'm excited.

And don't forget about Macrock . . .

While you're waiting, check out this video from my friends the Silent Press:

Some people just don't understand how important and fun playing music at "late hours" is, John. It's too bad people aren't sophisticated enough to know how much work goes into jamming. your heart out. I'm surprized the police reply with "why don't you just go tell them how you feel? Or just join in?" when the people complained. It's the world John, and when you live in the world, you get rocks thrown at you. (not literally). (well actually, sometimes people will really throw rocks at you.) (but that's only when you've really been jamming your heart out for longer than people understand how to handle) (late at night)
