Things are picking up.

Bizzzzzzzzzzy as a bee, that's what I am.

Cops have only been called once more, and this time at 8:00 p.m. Then our landlord paid us a visit the next day to tell us to SHUT UP.

But we won't, oh no.

We practiced this evening and they didn't come, so that's nice.
We should have a new song ready for Macrock. And I mean brand-new. Never before heard. I'm excited about it, hopefully it will be a fine piece of work when we're done.

We played a relatively new song at Starr Hill last week---"Hector's Hectic Life." Nice title, eh? It went well; actually the whole show was sweet. People from Harrisonburg who came said they thought it was the best we've ever sounded. Mutemath's lead singer Paul Meany said we were the best opening band they've heard yet on their tour. Mutemath will be playing Lollapalooza and the Warped Tour this year, and they've earned it. This band blew me away. I must say that I prefer them live to their recorded work. They really work the crowd and their energy and presence is magnificent. And the drummer duct-tapes headphones to his head.

Coming up: a FREE show featuring Mae, Lovedrug, Matt Pond PA, and, of course, Shapiro.

Shapiro at Macrock, at which we will release our free e-album, "The L.e.a.v.i.n.g. Single," which will also be a FREE download.

Another show just confirmed: Shapiro with Army of Me at Relative Theory Records on April 11th. More info coming.

Finally, listen to Air. And Sufjan Stevens. That's what I've been doing lately. As well as running from the cops.

Well . . . we did it. Got the cops involved. Jeremy's in California for Spring Break, and I'm still in Harrisonburg. Carl and Bryan (from Albuquerque) came over to play a little music. We were jamming around in our foam-padded practice room, and apparently one of the neighbors got annoyed and called the cops at 9:30 p.m.

9:30. Who goes to bed at 9:30?

Anyways, like good law-abiding citizens we stopped playing, and now I'm just getting ready for another fun day of work at a grocery store tomorrow. 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

But here's some news: Shapiro is playing Soundfest on April 1st @ Virginia Tech with Mae, Lovedrug, and Matt Pond PA. Schweet.

Next week @ Starr Hill, too, with Mutemath . . . I'm excited.

And don't forget about Macrock . . .
