Thanks to everyone who came out to the Shed in Tennessee last weekend. We all had a great time and we look forward to coming back. Looks like Dan White has set up a show for us in a few weeks at the Old City Java in Knoxville. Hopefully we'll see some of you all again . . . check myspace for details.

Meanwhile, we have been spending our time working and practicing some new material. And googling our names. It's fun. Nathan googled his and found this very nice article. Thanks to Bryan Wuest for the kind words.

MACRoCK has just released their MACRoCKumentary DVD, featuring live performances from several bands at this year's MACRoCK festival. Shapiro is one of the bands featured. Check out Pitchfork Media's review of the DVD, and order your own copy here!

My housemate Joel Lehman swears by Pitchfork's reviews . . . I'm thinking if I pay someone at Pitchfork to say something good about Shapiro, maybe Joel will finally admit that he idolizes me. I know he does, somewhere deep inside. It just has to come out.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Venue last Friday! Special thanks to Dave Lovett and the girl who handed out all of those postcards.

More later . . . Daniel White just arrived at my house and we need to work on stuff. PEACE.

I have returned to this great country of America. My trip was wonderful; many great memories and funny stories. However, I have to say that America is still numero uno in my book.

For one thing, you don't have to pay for restrooms here.

And the food here is cheap and you get a lot of it. I missed homecooked meals and was tired of eating bread. That's what happens when you don't have money for nice restaurants. I had a delicious dinner of my mom's homemade fajitas a few hours ago. Oh and Mrs. Ryman, I'm sorry I missed your roast but if you could send some up with Shana that would be magnificent.

The Shapiro shows have been piling up while I've been gone---looks like we are playing every weekend this month, including shows in New York, Delaware, Tennessee, Georgia. Check myspace.com for more info. And hopefully recording in August . . . Jeremy and Nathan have been working on new material which I haven't heard yet but am greatly anticipating.

Chow.
