It's 11:55 a.m. on Saturday, and I'm sitting in Jeremy's sister's apartment (Thanks Hannah and Aut!) in Charlotte, North Carolina, stealing wireless internet from the guy next door. We will be leaving a little later for Columbia, South Carolina, to play in Pirate Fest, which is kind of an exciting prospect simply because of the name of the event. Pirate Fest.

I don't know why it's called that, or even if there will be any Pirates there, for that matter. There are thirteen or so bands, and we are smack dab in the middle. So we'll show up, play our little beats, then drive back to Harrisonburg.

Tomorrow is my 21st birthday. Whew! Where has the time gone?

I think the van is packed perhaps the tightest it ever has been. There is a complete wall of stuff between the front and back seats. And the van is riding so low, it's probably dangerous. If we hit a bump it bounces for the next ten seconds or so.

Last night we played in Hickory, North Carolina. Thanks to T for being a friend and for the hooka. And props to all the kids who bought shirts then immediately put them on. And to that small child who just walked in the door with his mom and started dancing. May Garthon make you grow big and strong.
